El Paso Police reopen I-10 after shutting it down for hours due to incident

UPDATE: Traffic is expected to begin flowing again shortly. Police said the subject involved in the incident that shut down traffic has been taken into custody.
UPDATE: A witness told ABC-7 eastbound traffic is being diverted at Mesa Street and shut down at Executive Blvd.
EL PASO, Texas -- Interstate 10 is closed in both directions in downtown El Paso due to police activity.
Traffic is being diverted off I-10 east at Porfirio Diaz and I-10 west at Cotton.
Police are asking drivers to seek alternate routes (Mesa, Montana, Border West Expressway).
