Body recovered near Mount Cristo Rey, one person taken to hospital in critical condition

SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico (KVIA) -- The Sunland Park Fire Department said they recovered a body in the desert area near the intersection of Rio Grande Dr. and Mount Cristo Rey Blvd.

One person was also rushed to the hospital in serious condition from the same area, according to Sunland Park FD.

This is the second body recovery within the last 24 hours.
