High School Baseball Playoffs: Riverside takes game one over Lubbock Estacado, 9-3
FORT STOCKTON, Texas - The Riverside Rangers couldn't have asked for a better start to their regional quarterfinal series against Lubbock Estacado.
In game one of the best-of-three series, the Rangers dominated winning game one by a final score of 9-3.
Riverside leads the series 1-0, with game two and game three (if necessary) scheduled for Saturday in Fort Stockton.
Despite trailing 1-0 early in the game, the Rangers put up 8 unanswered runs and had an 8-1 lead headed into the bottom of the 6th inning.
Riverside just has to win one more game to clinch the regional quarterfinal title, and punch their ticket to the sweet 16 of the Class 4A tournament.
