WATCH: Garbage truck overturns, hangs on guardrail above I-10 in west El Paso

EL PASO, Texas --- An El Paso Disposal garbage truck overturned Monday afternoon and was hanging on a guardrail barrier above Interstate 10 in west El Paso.

First-responders indicated it appeared an axle broke on the truck about 2 p.m. on Executive Center Boulevard at I-10.

Police shut down Executive Center and the highway because of the potential hazard; officers said it was around 6 p.m. before the scene was completely cleared.

A heavy industrial crane was brought in to pull the overturned truck off of the guardrail and upright it.

Fire officials advised there were no serious injuries stemming from the overturned truck.
