ABC-7 First Alert: Extreme winds to sweep across the area Sunday

Strong winds will scream across the area beginning later Sunday morning and lasting through the evening. Peak SW gusts will hit 50 mph with some blowing dust and sand. Use Saturday to secure your outdoor decorations out ahead of the storm.

The winds will weaken a bit late Sunday night and return Monday and Tuesday but not quite as strong.
