ABC-7 First Alert: Reaching dangerous heat levels mid-week, rain chances still in your forecast

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- An ABC-7 First Alert has been issued for your Wednesday through at least Friday for the return of dangerous heat levels.

The rest of your Monday though is looking to be hot yet not as hot as we will see coming mid-week. Temperatures are resting just a bit above normal but in the coming days they're expected to reach well-above normal.

Rain chances stick around for your Monday at about a 20% chance of rain and isolated showers for your Monday evening. Thunderstorms will be limited to the area mountains. Most of the activity should be before 8:00 PM. The biggest threat that could accompany the rain much like yesterday is some stronger wind gusts.

Your rain chances drop to about 10% for your 4th of July holiday!
