ABC-7 First Alert: Record high temps possible Wednesday

The ABC-7 First Alert continues for dangerously hot temperatures through the end of the week.

El Paso tied a record high of 105 Tuesday. This is the 40th consecutive triple-digit day in a row, with 41 so far this year. The record for triples is 62 set in 1994.

The Heat advisory will be in effect for the El Paso, Lower Valley, and Southern New Mexico Rio Grande Valley areas.

High temperatures this afternoon will range from 103 to 106 degrees.

The long streak of 100+ degrees appears to end Sunday through early next week.
