ABC-7 FIRST ALERT: – Poor air quality Thursday due to ozone and smoke.
Fires in the Pacific Northwest and Colorado Rockies are causing the smoke you saw Wednesday and will see again Thursday. That combined with ozone in the atmosphere is causing unhealthy air. If you have respiratory or lung disease it's best to stay indoors if you can, or wear a mask if you need to be outdoors.
Hot temperatures will be the other weather story. Highs will climb to the upper 90's and 100's. There will be slight rain chances in the forecast with a 10% chance.
