ABC-7 First Alert: Record heat potential today; strong winds and cool down to come

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — Our StormTrack Weather team has issued an ABC-7 First Alert for strong winds and a cool down expected for your Wednesday and Thursday.

Today, once again, we will see warm temperatures and dry conditions. Expect a mild comfortable day with temperature highs still resting above average. El Paso and Las Cruces expect highs in the upper 70s to the low 80s. There is potential we see record-breaking highs for today.

Wednesday will remain warm and calm for the daytime. By evening a back door cold front will push in dropping temperature highs into the 60s for your Thursday and hiking up the winds to 40 MPH.
