ABC-7 First Alert: Storm potential elevates for graduation weekend, temps stay hot!

UPDATE: We are now under an ABC-7 First alert as rain potential is looking a bit stronger for our region today. Isolated thunderstorms are possible. We are under a marginal risk for hazards such as damaging winds and hail. We could also see outflow impact from nearby thunderstorms, this could further result in blowing dust and sand.

EL PASO. Texas (KVIA) -- Friday will once again be hot with rain chances climbing today and into the weekend.

Temperatures today will return to near average. El Paso is expected to reach a high of 94, Las Cruces is expected to reach a high of 93.

Rain chances are going up today. We are looking at rain chances developing at a 20-30% chance into our evening. Rain chances will stay up at 30% through the weekend.
