Commercial lanes at ports of entry to resume operations Tuesday; travelers should expect delays
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Commercial operations at two international bridges will resume starting Tuesday, but travelers should still plan for delays.
CBP says officers will continue to process migrants and as a result those traveling to the U.S. by car or through the pedestrian lanes should expect longer than normal crossing times and should plan accordingly.
It comes after CBP closed the closed the commercial lanes from the Bridge of the Americas and Ysleta Bridge last week.
CBP said at the time the closures were needed to allow for more officers to help handle the large number of migrants crossing into the U.S.
