El Paso Symphony Orchestra musicians ‘excited’ to play in front of public
EL PASO, Texas -- Musicians with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra say they are tremendously excited to perform in front of the public again.
"Finally to be outside and playing concerts after a year of not being able to actually perform," said Bohuslav Rattay, the orchestra's music director and conductor. "These guys back there are actually excited to be playing outside for people!"
Over the weekend, musicians performed for 45 minutes at Album Park on Saturday night, featuring a quintet of the symphony's brass section.
Like so many artists, their season was postponed because of Covid-19.
"Hopefully, by September, we'll be back in the Plaza Theater playing full-blown concerts," Rattay said
