World renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman to perform in El Paso
EL PASO, Texas -- Believed by many to be the world's most talented violinist, Itzhak Perlman will soon perform in the Borderland.
"I would say that music is an international language," Perlman told El Paso's NPR station. "Of course, I think that it's also a very social language. Music puts everybody at the same level."
Born in Israel in 1945, Perlman trained at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. He ultimately came to the United States and became one of the most successful graduates of New York's Juilliard School.
"Music can be educating in so many different ways," Perlman said. "Whether it's discipline or whether it's just being inspired by what you hear, or of course, by playing an instrument yourself."
He is performing at the Plaza Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd. Click here for tickets.
