City of El Paso reporting second case of Monkeypox

EL PASO, Texas - A man in his 40s is the latest person to test positive for Monkeypox according to the City of El Paso Public Health Department.

The healthy department has begun their investigation and is conducting contact tracing.

Monkeypox is considered a global threat and health leader recommend everyone to practice safety precautions at this time.

Monkeypox is a viral disease that spreads between people and shows up in the form of a rash located in various parts of the body. The rash goes through stages before healing.

At first the rash can look like pimples of blister and are painful and itchy, it also presents with fever, chills, headache, exhaustion and muscle aches.
