El Paso Police: Nurse threats to “end” officers’ lives with fentanyl caught on video

EL PASO, Texas - Court records obtained by ABC-7 state a man threatened to harm officers by giving them, "all the (expletive) Fentanyl to (expletive) end your life."

The threats, records state, even were aimed at one of the officer's mother. Officials say the threats were caught on the market patrol unit's video and audio system.

Steven Holguin was arrested for public intoxication on June 25 at the Cincinnati Entertainment District. Officers say he attempted to start a fight with a bar patron.

El Paso Police say Steven Holguin made the threats to the officers as he was transported to the regional command for processing.

Officers say they confirmed Holguin is a registered nurse employed at University Medical Center.

He was re-arrested and charged with obstruction or retaliation on June 27 for the threats.
