Family of an Astroworld victim settles lawsuit against event organizers
The family of a man killed during a music festival in Texas has settled a lawsuit it filed against singer Travis Scott and live nation, the organizers of the Astroworld Festival.
The lawyer representing Axel Acosta announced the settlement Thursday. He says the details of the settlement will remain private.
Acosta and nine other people died when a crowd of 50,000 people pushed toward a stage in Houston, Texas to hear Scott perform last November. The 21-year-old was trampled. The Houston Police Department had warned of dangerous crowd conditions hours before Scott took the stage.
Scott and Live Nation also are facing dozens of other lawsuits related to what happened at the music festival.
