El Pasoans react to Cielo Vista mall shooting
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA)-- -- The shooting at the Cielo Vista mall is stirring up memories of another traumatic shooting three years ago in El Paso.
23 people were killed back in 2019, when a gunman stormed the Cielo Vista Walmart. It happened near yesterday's shooting. The incident is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime.
For survivors and their loved ones, the shooting is forcing them to confront painful memories and revisit unhealed wounds.
