El Paso International Airport braces for busy holiday travel season
EL PASO, TX (KVIA) -- El Paso International Airport says they expect approximately 86,000 travelers to depart between December 22 and January 2.
To ensure smooth travels, airport officials advise to:
- Arrive early, aiming for a 2 to 4-hour window before your flight's departure.
- Plan ahead by checking TSA.gov for prohibited items and ID requirements to expedite security checks.
- Review parking options and policies at FlyELP.com before your trip.
- Utilize the cell phone waiting lot for hassle-free guest pickups.
The early morning rush Friday morning was between 4:30 a.m. - 5:30 a.m. ABC-7 crew spoke to travelers, one said, "This is an eye opener. I know it gets crazy during the holidays, but, yeah, I didn't realize it'd be like this."
