Texas bill looks to ban cellphones in schools

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A Texas bill called House Bill 1481 seeks to restrict cellphone usage for K-12 students during the school day.

House representatives stated that under the bill K-12 public school students would not be allowed to use their cellphones during the school day.

If pass, the act would take effect September 1st, 2025.
