Over 3,500 lost power in northeast El Paso on hot evening

MGN

EL PASO, Texas -- A northeast El Paso power outage left thousands without electrical service for a portion of the hot Saturday evening.

The El Paso Electric Company outage map showed over 3,500 customers were impacted by the outage, which began around 5 p.m.; as of 7 p.m. the map reflected power had been restored to all.

The outage occurred amid 90-degree temperatures in the Sun City after spot showers and storms in the region earlier in the day. It wasn't known if weather conditions were a factor in causing the outage.

An EPE spokesperson didn't respond to a request for more information.
