Officials warn public of training exercise at El Paso federal courthouse Friday

The federal courthouse in downtown El Paso will be closed Friday, Sept. 22 for a live training exercise. This training will be closed to the public.

The US Marshals Service is warning the public in advance. If you see a heavy police presence in downtown El Paso Friday, do not be alarmed, officials say.

The training exercise will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and several street closures will occur.

N Florence St and Myrtle Ave

In addition to the US Marshals Service, participating agencies include the El Paso Police Department, El Paso Fire Department, and the Federal Protective Service.
