Walker scores 31, UAB knocks off UTSA 90-67

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Jordan Walker’s 31 points led UAB past UTSA 90-67 on Saturday night.

Walker shot 12 for 21, including 7 for 12 from beyond the arc for the Blazers (12-2, 3-0 Conference USA). Eric Gaines scored 18 points and added six rebounds and seven assists. KJ Buffen was 5 of 7 shooting to finish with 14 points.

The Roadrunners (6-8, 0-3) were led in scoring by Japhet Medor, who finished with 21 points and six assists. UTSA also got 14 points from DJ Richards. John Buggs III finished with 12 points.

UAB took the lead with 14:23 left in the first half and never looked back. The score was 52-29 at halftime, with Walker racking up 17 points.
