Person in Border Patrol custody dies after shooting at Ysleta Station in east El Paso
UPDATE 5:41 p.m.: The FBI has confirmed the detainee who was shot has died.
UPDATE 4:38 p.m.: A statement from the U.S. Border Patrol says one person in custody was shot and transported to a local hospital.
The statement says U.S. Border Patrol Agents assigned to the Ysleta Border Patrol Station were involved in the shooting incident.
Multiple agencies are involved in the investigation, including the FBI, El Paso Police, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Office of Professional Responsibility.
According to the Border Patrol, the shooting happened at 12:45 p.m.

EL PASO, Texas -- According to early reports, there's been a shooting at the US Customs and Border Protection Ysleta Border Patrol station.
The station is located at 12245 Pine Springs Drive.
