EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police say a couple died in a crash along Loop 375 at mile marker 60 in South El Paso Thursday night.
Investigators say a 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were driving on a motorcycle when they crashed and died. Another motorcyclist, identified only as a 23-year-old Hispanic man, was injured.
Special Traffic Investigators believe the two motorcycles were part of a group riding on Loop 375 when the couple lost control at a curve. Investigators say they hit a concrete barrier and a light pole and were thrown from the motorcycle. The 23-year-old woman landed in front of the second motorcycle and that driver hit her. That other motorcyclist was thrown off as well.
Officers say the couple were already dead when they arrived on scene. The second motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital.
Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash. They say the first driver was not wearing a helmet.
