El Paso mom fighting to bring son’s body home after he was killed in East Texas

ORANGE, Texas (KVIA) -- Alexandra Serrano tells ABC-7 her son, 29-year-old Aaron Ray, was killed May 16, 2023.

Serrano says Ray was stabbed in the heart in a domestic dispute in Orange, Texas, which is east of Houston.

The family set up a Gofundme page to pay for Ray's body to be returned to El Paso and for the funeral costs. Serrano says Ray had a 6-year-old daughter, Zurri. She says any leftover funds will go towards supporting Zurri.

Police in Orange are investigating Ray's death as a homicide.
