Nine men arrested during undercover child predator sting

WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) — Nine men between the ages of 29 and 48 were arrested during an undercover child predator sting by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said investigators posed on different social media platforms and dating websites as 15-year-old girls and boys.
The men who contacted undercover deputies online were arrested after arriving at a location where they believed they were meeting a child for sex, according to the sheriff’s office.
The men arrested were identified as Joseph Kenneth Raney, 30, of Portland; Brandon Daily Perkins, 36, of McMinnville; Brent Wayne Pruitt, 41, of Portland; Maverick William Pfel, 39, of Beaverton; Christopher Michael Mckane, 40, of Beaverton; Jonathan Arthur Hauck, 48, of Newberg; Tou Moua, 37, of Happy Valley; Wayne Michael Redman, 29, of Portland; and Gaspar Gaona-Aguilar, 48, of Beaverton.
All men are facing felony charges of luring a minor and first-degree online sexual corruption of a child.
The sheriff’s office said Gaona-Aguilar was also arrested for criminal driving while suspended and a probation violation related to his registered sex offender status.
Hauck also had an outstanding probation violation warrant, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office said multiple people ended their online conversations during the sting after learning the person they were talking to identified as a minor.
