Six El Paso teams qualify for State Cross Country
LUBBOCK, Texas (KVIA) -- Six El Paso teams and a slew of individual runners qualify for State Cross Country.

In Class 6A Boys, Franklin finished third, while Eastwood finished fourth. Both teams will head to State after those results.
Individually Eastwood's Aidan Torres placed second and Franklin's Matthew Engle placed seventh. While Americas' Diego Romero, Pebble Hills' Mark Barajas and Coronado's Edgar Valles all qualified as individuals.
On the girls side Franklin also qualified as a team after a fourth placed finish. Cougars' Emily Orr placed fifth while Eastwood's Adelynn Rodriguez will go to State an individual after an eighth placed finish.
5A
In Class 5A, El Paso high boys won the regional title.
El Paso's Miles Westbrook grabbed a fourth-place finish, Leo Valenzuela placed 21st and Ulysses O'Rourke finished 27th.
Meanwhile on the girls side, Chapin qualified for the state meet after finishing fourth.
The Huskies were led by Rebecca Duran, who finished in 13th and Ava Dennis finished 33rd.
4A
In Class 4A San Elizario boys finished second and will go to State again. The Eagles have finished in the top three in nine straight state meets and have won six state championships.
San Eli's Julian Guerra had a fourth placed finish, Angel Maese was fifth, Antonio Arreola seventh and Bryan Hernandez 10th.
Meanwhile Austin's Pedro Jimenez also qualifies for State in Class 4A Boys after placing 18th.
On the girls side in Class 4A Fabens' Alexia Martinez finished fourth while San Eli's Kylee Pardo will join her at State with a 20th place finish.
2A
Fort Hancock's Juan Montoya will head to state after a 14th place finish.
The state meet is November 3-4 in Round Rock, Texas.
