El Pasoan dies from injuries one month after being hit by car

EL PASO, Texas – An El Paso man who was hit by a car in the lower valley has died almost a month later, El Paso police said Tuesday.

Investigators said 53-year-old Humberto Reyes and 55-year-old Aida Reyes were driving together when their vehicle stalled on the 1100 block of N. Americas.

Police said that Humberto Reyes got out of the car and was standing behind it when he was hit by another car driven by 22-year-old Leonel Bravo Jr.

Reyes was then taken to Del Sol Medical Center for his injuries.

Police said Tuesday that they were notified by the Medical Examiner’s Office that Reyes had died at the hospital on June 6.
