ABC-7 First Alert: Preparations for a hot weekend

Ice ice baby...dun dun dun dun dun dun dun. That's what we will need this weekend! If you thought today was hot, get ready for this weekend where highs of 106 are what I'm forecasting. On Saturday, we could tie or even break the previous record of 106 which was set just last year. It'll be very hot through Monday, but after that, we will slowly cool down to highs in the 90s by the end of the week.

Every day this week, as we approach the beginning of the Monsoon (June 15th), we do have a small chance of storms every day. The storm chances are more likely for our mountainous regions, but as they rise and fall, gust fronts can ignite new storms in the lowlands, so we will certainly be watching for that. Stay cool, stay safe, and stay indoors if you can!
