ABC-7 First Alert: Rain showers increase Monday evening

FirstAlert-375x225

El Paso, TX (KVIA)- The ABC-7 First Alert continues for increased rain showers to kick off the week. The weather begins tonight as a weather system moves in; as a result, some thunderstorms will develop this afternoon, along with gusty outflows in areas west of El Paso. If traveling west, be cautious of reduced visibilities along I-10 west of Lordsburg.

The clouds will increase this afternoon, but the best chance for showers will be this evening. Tuesday, rain spreads east, and models show that the rain continues Wednesday, followed by cooler temperatures in the mid to low 70s.

Drier and warmer weather returns Thursday through the weekend. Temperatures will run 5 to 10 degrees above average.
