ABC-7 First Alert: Summer-like heat continues, refreshing change on the horizon
The summer-like heat will continue Friday with temperatures ranging between 102 to 107 degrees.
Yesterday temperatures climbed to 104 degrees at the El Paso Airport, even hotter temperatures are forecasted for today. Widespread showers and storms will move in tonight.
The First Alert will remain in place for the heat. Keep in mind that prolonged exposure to hot temperatures can cause heat exhaustion.
The symptoms can include heavy sweating, rapid pulse or heart rate, nausea, fatigue, or headache. If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, get into the shade or air conditioning, and drink lots of water.
Drier air moves in on Saturday with the winds increasing Sunday. Temperatures will fall back to the 90s Monday.
