OMAHA, NE (KPTM) — Reviews can make or break a company but what if the tables turned?
One woman in Blair is speaking out about a letter she received in the mail from a local dermatologist in Omaha.
Bria Haye says she took her son to Dr. Herschel Stoller’s office to remove a bump on his head.
Haye says she originally called the office before the appointment and was told the visit could cost up to $500.
She says the office manager told her on the phone she wouldn’t have to pay for it all at once.
When she got to the office, Haye says a worker called her a liar for not knowing she needed to pay it all upfront.
“I put a review on Google at that point about her, not about him (Dr. Stoller) because I didn’t meet him.”
With her one-star rating, Haye explains her short visit.
“I said, I’m not sure how good or bad the doctor is but the office manager is not nice at all,” says Haye.
Two weeks later, Haye got a letter in the mail from the dermatologist’s office about her Google review.
Since the letter was posted online, Stoller’s lawyer says the office is trying to fix the situation with Haye.
“We’ve acknowledged that it was unfortunate for both parties,” says Anthony Sciloi. “There are certainly two sides to this story.”
FOX 42 was also made aware of another letter a customer hasd received from the doctor after leaving a review.
Although the company’s lawyer did not want to talk about the other letter, FOX 42 did receive this statement directly from Dr. Stoller.
As of right now, Stoller’s attorney says they are working to fix the situation with Haye.
Haye says she may be taking this issue to the Nebraska Board of Medicine and Surgery.
