Community Champions: Centennial girls soccer team
Winning a state championship in no way distinguishes the success of a team's season.
Case in point, the Centennial girls soccer team.
This past season, the Hawks made it all the way to the New Mexico state championship game where they lost to Volcano Vista, 2-0.
But the hard work it took for the Hawks to get to that title game was a success in and of itself.
Because of their efforts, the Centennial girls soccer team are this week's Community Champions, sponsored by Albertsons and the El Paso Community Foundation.
