Virtual 4th annual Quesadilla Run fundraiser set for mobile children’s museum in New Mexico
LAS CRUCES, New Mexico - Ngage New Mexico has made quesadillas and running a thing. The 4th annual Quesadilla 5K Run or, Q-Run for short, has gone virtual. This year's run begins Sunday, April 24th and lasts through Sunday, May 2nd. Not only will runners get to pick their favorite location, but they can also choose their favorite time to run. This virtual 5K is and always has been open to everyone. However, this is the first time the Q-Run is available to runners from across the country.
Here's how it works:
Register for the event at: https://runsignup.com/Race/NM/HostedbyNgageNMLasCruces/QuesadillRun.
Registration is $20 for runners 20 and younger and $30 for everyone else. The first 150 to register will receive a Quesadilla Run t-shirt, medal, and a sleek Ngage face mask. Let your social media flag fly and make sure to use the hashtag #Qrun. Livestream and tagging are highly encouraged and if you happen to find something in your swag bag from your neighborhood quesadilla shop, send some love their way. Deadline to register is this Friday, April 22nd. Then on Sunday, run whenever and wherever you safely can. Monitor your time and distance and then post it on the website.
Ngage NM is well known for, among other things, its support of the SUCCESS Partnership, a prenatal to career education initiative. Proceeds raised from this event will help to support a variety of transformative education endeavors including the soon-to-be-rolling Vamos Niños, a play to learn, mobile children’s museum.
