Senate passes Covid Origins Act

The U.S. Senate has passed legislation that could reveal more information about the origins of Covid-19.

Lawmakers passed the Covid Origins Act of 2023 by unanimous consent Wednesday night.

The legislation would ask the government to declassify intelligence on the pandemic's origins. That includes any information related to any potential links between the virus and the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

This is the second time the Senate has passed legislation about Covid's origins. Two years ago Senators also passed the Covid Origins Act of 2021 unanimously.
