Saturday is “Buy El Paso Day:” How you can participate

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- If you'd like to shop local this holiday season, there may not be a better day than Saturday, December 2nd.

It's the fourth-annual 'Buy El Paso Day,' sponsored by the Better Business Bureau El Paso and the city of El Paso.

According to BBB El Paso, more than 50 local businesses will be participating in the event.

Shoppers who make a purchase at the participating businesses will also have a chance to take home a limited-edition Buy El Paso stadium bag, a Buy El Paso Day T-shirt designed by local artist Christin Apodaca.

Some notable businesses participating include Cupcakeology, Food City Supermarkets, Rusty's Pet Salon, and iFly El Paso. A full list can be found here.

A giveaway including hundreds of dollars of gift cards will also take place. You can enter that contest on Buy El Paso's Instagram account.
