Texas Governor Greg Abbott accepts Yvonne Rosales’s resignation

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas Governor Greg Abbott has accepted the resignation of embattled District Attorney Yvonne Rosales.

On Monday Rosales agreed to resign by Dec. 14 at 5 p.m., otherwise be removed by Dec. 15.

Rosales will keep her title until her official resignation date.

For now, Salah George Al-Hanna will be handling the day-to-day operations at the District Attorney's office.

By Texas law, D.A. Rosales will continue to be paid until Governor Abbott names a replacement.
