Man on motorized scooter struck by car near church, seriously injured in El Paso’s Lower Valley
EL PASO, Texas -- A man on a motorized scooter in El Paso's Lower Valley was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured Friday night in a possible hit-and-run near a church.
Police said the man was hit before 8:30 p.m. at 210 S. Clark Drive, which is the address for Santo Nino De Atocha Catholic Church.
As traffic investigators examined the scene, there was no car to be found - suggesting it may have been a case of hit-and-run.
The victim was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition, a police spokesman said.
