One dead after shooting near Chili’s in Las Cruces
Update (October 10, 2025): Las Cruces will hold a news conference on the shooting on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Police officials describe the incident as an "officer-involved shooting."
Update: Las Cruces Police have identified the suspect as 50-year-old Philip Adrian Mullin of Las Cruces.
According to police, officers attempted life-saving measures, but the man died of his injuries on scene. The officer involved was uninjured, and will be placed on administrative leave pending further investigation, as is protocol for the department.
LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) - One person is dead after a shooting outside a Chili's restaurant in Las Cruces.
It happened Thursday evening near the restaurant on Telshor Blvd off E. Lohman Ave.
A spokesman for the Las Cruces Police Department says officers are investigating the incident.
An employee of the restaurant stated they were closed for the rest of the day, but did not provide further information.
