Sunland Park Tequila and Margarita Festival features 60+ brands of top-shelf spirits

SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico - What's your preference: Jose Cuervo, Hornitos, or Don Julio?

Of course, we're talkin' tequila.

Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino hosted the biannual Tequila and Margarita Festival on Saturday evening.

"Come out here and maybe sample something you've never tried before, maybe something flavored," said Tony Chavez, a spokesman for the event.

The festival featured more than 60 brands of of high-end, top shelf tequila.

"This is a perfect time to come and taste something," Chavez said.

According to Beverage Industry Magazine, tequila is the fastest growing spirit in the United States. Last year, U.S. sales grew by 13 percent.
