30-year-old woman who crashed car into tree is El Paso’s 32nd traffic death of year

EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police identified a 30-year-old woman as the victim of a deadly one-car crash over the weekend in the 9900 block of Railroad Avenue, just south of Loop 375. 

Police on Monday said Jacqueline Fitts was the driver and only person in the car.

Traffic investigators reported the death just after 4:15 a.m. Saturday and said she crashed her car into a tree and died at the scene in northeast El Paso.

The fatality is the 32nd traffic death of the year, based on a police count, compared to 30 at this time a year ago in the Sun City.
