ABC-7 First Alert: Cold front brings cooler air, and stronger winds Friday

FirstAlert-375x225

Good Afternoon! The windy conditions continue across the Borderland today. West to Southwest winds between 15 to 25 mph and gusts between 35 to 40 mph are expected for the lowland areas, with stronger winds in the mountains. I am forecasting about a 10 to 20 percent chance of rain showers, I think the rain will be light. An ABC-7 First Alert is in effect Friday for stronger wind gusts between 40 to 45 mph and areas of blowing dust and sand. The winds will be strongest across southern New Mexico, this includes Las Cruces.
