GENESEE COUNTY, NY (WKBW) — A little holiday magic and a local animal shelter helped a Western New York family reunite with their beloved dog this week.
Pipe the pug disappeared from the Licata family’s yard after she was let out to “do her business” on November 18. As the days passed, April Elizabeth Licata, Piper’s owner, writes, “it had been a long two and a half weeks for my oldest two children, Carter and Natalie, thinking they would never see their puppy again.”
Everything changed Monday night, when someone messaged the family that a dog similar to Piper had been picked up by the Genesee County Animal Shelter. Licata picked up Piper from the shelter, and the family has been reunited. April brought Piper along to pick up one of her children from school, and posted the emotional reunion on Facebook.
